“Kozdrówka” is the common name of one of the most interesting bike routes in the region. The route is an asphalt fire access road which is in perfect condition, as it is closed to all car traffic, with the exception of the cars belonging to the State Forests). The 10 km road can be found in the forest between Manowo and Strzekęcino. Taking it is a unique experience, as you will be riding an asphalt road hearing nothing but the sounds of the forest. “Kozdrówka” is also used for cycling events, such as the “Manowska Czasówka” individual time trial. The road was built in late 1970s, allegedly at the request of the secretary of the Voivodeship Committee of the ruling Polish United Workers’ Party (PZPR) in Koszalin, Władysław Kozdra who had a home in the area - hence the name “Kozdrówka”.
