Lake Rosnowskie Lake Rosnowskie

Lake Rosnowskie is an artificial reservoir created by damming the Radew river in 1922. It is the oldest storage reservoir in Poland. Creating Lake Rosnowskie required relocating the tracks of the local narrow-gauge railway. The lake has a number of functions – its waters are primarily used to produce electric power, but it also serves as a flood defence and a place of recreation. The shores are quite steep and covered by dense forest, but thereis plenty of small coves accessible to kayaks and boats.
