Route: Przytok – Ratajki – Sierakowo Sławieńskie – Sowno
Trail markings: black
The “Meet the Hobbits” trail is a very pleasant and short trip running almost entirely on flat terrain which any cyclist can handle. The route starts in Przytok on the forest parking lot which is the starting point for a number of other trails. The initial section follows the red trail on a gravel road. After crossing the wooden bridge, take the asphalt road which will take you to Ratajki. There, you can visit the Gothic Revival church of St Adalbert from 1860.
In Ratajki, go past the sand and gravel pit, cross the Bielawa river and head to Sierakowo Sławieńskie where you can see another interesting temple – the 15th-century church of Our Lady of the Rosary. In Sieraków, turn right and soon you will arrive to a place owned by “Dolina Fantazji” Foundation which was formerly known as the Hobbit Village. Take the asphalt road which will take you to Sowieński Młyn where you can see the buildings of the old distillery and the half-timbered mill built in 1896. Sowieński Młyn is the penultimate stop of the trip. The final one is Sowno where you can see the church which, like the mill, is a half-timbered structure, the modest monument commemorating the casualties of World War I, and the former Protestant cemetery.
